Job Summary

As one of our Dishwashers/Porters, you are the most important part of our entire process! Every area of the restaurant from the kitchen, bar, and dining room relies on the hard and consistent work from the dish station, which guarantees all dishes, food preparation equipment, glasses, flatware, and other tools are clean and sanitary. In addition, you keep the overall facility clean and tidy by making sure all guest contact areas, bathrooms, food prep areas, and waste holding areas are clean and sanitized on a daily basis. Porters will also play an essential role in the receiving and inventory process.

Responsibilities

Have a pleasant and positive demeanor.
Set up and break down mechanical dishwasher unit on a daily basis.
Clean all guest contact areas inclusive of bathrooms on a regular basis.
Keep all kitchen floors, walls, prep areas clean.
Keep all walkways, stairways, and common areas clean and pristine.
Monitor cleaning supply levels.
Assist with the reception process of all food and non-food supplies.
Organize storage areas paying special attention to overall cleanliness.
Prepare storage areas for weekly inventory and assist when needed.
Complete any and all daily housekeeping tasks as indicated by the General Manager, Head Chef, or Assistant Manager.

Qualifications

First and foremost, you must love chocolate!!!
Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume restaurant.
Must be familiar with set-up and break-down of a mechanical dishwasher unit.
Must be familiar with standards of cleanliness and sanitation relative to restaurants.
Must be able to lift to 50 – 75 lbs.
Must have good organizational skills.
Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred!!!

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
